The next Rotary Leadership Institute will be held Saturday, October 20, at Siena College.

The total RLI  package consists of three parts plus a graduate course that is available to Rotarians who have completed the first three parts.  This October, all four programs will be presented on the same day at Siena.

The rate is $75 per person, which covers breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks and takeaway materials.

Registration will be held at 7:30 a.m. at the Sarazen Student Union. Signs will be posted to the free parking area.

Blase Mercoglan, District 7190 governor, notes, “Rotarians who have completed part I or Part II are reminded to attend Part II or III to complete the entire course. We would encourage each club to sponsor at least two Rotarians. … The goal is to strengthen Rotary through education.”

Rotary Leadership Institute official to address SRC

Frank E. Wargo, past governor of District 7890 (covering parts of Connecticut and Massachusetts), will be the guest speaker at our club’s November 18 meeting.

Frank now serves as the International Training Coordinator for the Rotary Leadership Institute. The RLI describes itself as “a multi-district, grassroots leadership development program of member districts organized into regional divisions in various parts of the world.”

RLI, which not an official program of Rotary International and, thus, is not controlled by RI, “seeks to have Rotary Clubs in its member districts identify those Rotarians who appear to have the potential for future club leadership — not necessarily as club presidents — and provide those so identified with a quality education in Rotary knowledge and leadership skills so important in voluntary organizations.”
