Terry Brewer, like many of us a past president of the club, has agreed to take on the role of our vice president / president-elect for the 2014-15 Rotary Year.
“I am very pleased that Terry, who already does so much for the club, has agreed to take on this additional role,” said Bill Dowd, president-elect for the 2014-15 year, after Terry volunteered his services following this week’s club meeting.
“Our club cannot continue to thrive and be the force for good in the community and in the world that it is without people stepping up to take on the necessary responsibilities of keeping the organization afloat. While we are a small club in terms of numbers — about at the median level of clubs in District 7190 — we are a major force in fundraising and supporting local, regional and global efforts in the Rotary tradition of ‘Service Above Self’.”
In his new role, Terry will be working to support Bill in his presidential year, and will continue as a member of the club’s Board of Directors. He also will be in line to assume the presidency in 2015-16.
Please take a moment to thank Terry for his selfless decision to continue the leadership tradition of the Southern Rensselaer County Rotary Club.
