Rotarians celebrate their bridge-climb and flag-flying world records set today.

During today’s world record-breaking Sydney Harbour bridge climb in Sydney Harbour at the 2014 Rotary International Convention in Australia, Rotary members raised enough money to protect 240,000 kids from polio.

The massive turnout of 340 people Rotarians and a few friends eclipsed Oprah Winfrey’s world-record climb in 2011 when she topped the bridge alongside 316 of her fans.

In the process of topping the people record, the Rotarians also broke the world record for most people flying international flags simultaneously, shattering the previous attempt of 143 flags set in 2010 with more than 300 flags flying.
