Dinner menu for October 18 meeting

October 18 is a historic date. It was on that day in 1912 that the Kingdom of Italy and the Turkish Ottoman Empire signed a peace treaty ending the Tripolitanian War.

We’re not sure what they served at their celebratory dinners, but we’ll be marking the day with an appropriate menu this Thursday, October 18, at our 6:15 dinner meeting at the Holiday Inn Express.

The menu:

Spaghetti and meatballs with marinara sauce
Buttered green beans
Caesar salad
Breads and butter
Dutch-style apple pie

As always, if you have changed your attendance plans one way or the other, please let April Dowd know no later than Tuesday. Our guest speaker will be Past District Governor Fred Carvin, author of a new biography of Rotary founder Paul Harris.

We have the following people signed up to attend:

Pat Bailey, Terry Brewer, Debbie Brown, Peter Brown, Dean Calamaras, Doris Calamaras, Fred Carvin, April Dowd, Bill Dowd, Dick Drumm, Russ Edberg, Murray Forth, Julius Frankel, Len Leonidas, Jim Leyhane, Debbie Rodriguez, Rommel Tolentino, Stewart Wagner.

  1. Thanks for the post Bill. I’m glad we aren’t serving spaghetti to our District Governor. I like it so it isn’t a hardship, but not everyone may feel that way. It will be interesting to see what the response is. Peter
