Now that we’re past the lazy, hazy days of summer, we’re set to re-start the series for the 2012-13 year.
For those unfamiliar with the “Home Cooking Series,” here’s how it works:
Members host and prepare small dinner parties for six or more guests. Each guest pays a reservation fee, determined by the hosts whose contribution is the meal itself. Money raised goes to the club’s general treasury to support our many local and global projects and philanthropies.
Last year, we had a wide variety of dinner themes — everything from corned beef and cabbage to small-plates paired with whiskies. You are limited only by your imaginations.
Interested in playing host? Just announce at our meetings your date, theme and how many guests you can accommodate. Hungry foodies will take it from there.
