Program: Megan Rodriguez on financial planning
Megan, who is with First Investors where she is a money manager, explained how she works with clients and about the various retirement vehicles we can use. Among numerous topics, Megan spoke about how and when to use various retirement investments. She discussed long term care insurance, gifting to one’s children to protect assets, and what an ILIT (irrevocable life insurance trust) can do for us. She encouraged us to think about estate planning even into retirement. Megan encouraged questions from the group and many responded. Her interesting and lively talk was much appreciated.
NEXT MEETING: 6:15 p.m. Thursday, March 15, Holiday Inn Express. Speaker will be Dr. Rodger Ellis, a veterinarian who spent time abroad.
