Dear SRC Rotarians:
We enjoyed a nice meal and a lovely presentation on the “Romantic Cites of Eastern Europe” last week from Deb Brown. I appreciate the participation of our many guests at the pre-Valentine dinner. I know the parking was difficult but once inside the Hilton we all enjoyed the dinner, special gifts for spouses/friends and the slide presentation. Thanks for a nice program Deb.
This week we are scheduled to have a “Dinner with “Champions.” I have asked Anthony Servidone (right), varsity wrestling coach at Columbia High School, to join us for dinner. He is arranging to bring Evan Wallace and Corey Southard, who won Section 2 wrestling titles, to the meeting. The boys will participate in the state championships the weekend of February 25-26 at the Times Union Center in Albany. This will be a nice opportunity to hear Mr. Servidone and Mike Leonard speak about the success of the CHS wrestling program.
We are scheduling some important events fro the next few months. Murray Forth is organizing a family bowling event for early March. Mark Hoyt is preparing the International Dinner for early April. And, we are initiating plans for the annual Rotary Run in May. We will be needing club support for all of these activities. Please let Murray know of your availability to help with these events.
The following individuals have indicated attendance for dinner this week:Pat Bailey, Terry Brewer, Peter Brown, Doris Calamaras, Bill Dowd, Dick Drumm, Russ Edberg, Phil Egan, Charlie Foote, Murray Forth, Len Leonaidas, Jim Mendrysa, Ron Annis, Rob Mangold and Deb Rodriguez, plus guests Anthony Servidone, Mike Leonard, Evan Wallace and parent, Corey Southard and parent. Total 21.If I missed you for dinner or you have a change in plans please let me know ASAP.
