President Terry’s weekly message

• Week of January 24, 2011.

Dear SRC Rotarians:

We enjoyed a very interesting presentation by Bill Dowd last week on “The Castles of Scotland and Ireland.” Bill did a great job with the music and slides on the various castles of the region and his depth of knowledge on the topic. A very interesting and enlightening presentation for the club.

We also  enjoyed a full house of Rotarians and had the opportunity to meet two new members — Deb Rodriguez and Rob Mangold. Their addition brings our number of new members to five so far this year. We are 50% of our goal of 10 new members for the 2010-2011 Rotary year. Thanks for the efforts in building our club.

This week we have as guest speaker Raymond O’Keefe, sponsored by Pat Bailey. His topic is on weather and the changing patterns of the weather cycles for our region. How appropriate after the past two week so of snow and cold. We look forward to hearing what the weather predictions are for the future. Thanks, Pat, for bringing Ray to our meeting.

I have the following attending for Thursday, January 27: Pat Bailey, Terry Brewer, Deb Brown, Peter Brown, Doris Calamaris, Bill Dowd, Dick Drumm, Russ Edberg, Phil Egan, Charlie Foote, Murray Forth, Jim Leyhane, Rob Mangold, Steve Phelps and Rommel Tolentino.  If I do not have you listed from the pre-signup sheet and you wish to attend or you have changed your attendance please let me know ASAP.
