A REMINDER: Each Club member is assigned specific dates to come up with a program, either personally delivered or by obtaining a speaker for the evening. In most years, we have asked for at least two programs per member per Rotary year, but some members have provided more and some less. In any case, we are relying on ALL members to participate in this most essential activity of Rotary.

G’day from Peter Brown, Pres Elect of Logan Rotary Club D9630 (Queensland, Australia). As the Pres Elect and current Membership Development Director, I am searching the web for ideas that I may be able to incorporate into our club. I latched onto your Club’s site beause of the item referring to your Pres Elect Peter Brown managing the weekly programs. I would like to know a little more about this idea if he or someone would be prepared to email me back.
Hello Peter. Nice to hear from you. Our club has developed the practice of asking each member to provide a program at least once during the year. We set up the schedule to include “Club Assemblies” in which we discuss the operation of the club and district events but no other program, so we fill the entire calendar. Of course unexpected things come along so we accommodate them by skipping the Club Assembly or adjusting the schedule of speakers. In most cases members recruit a speaker from outside the club, but some are able to make a presentation themselves What else would you like to know? My regular e-mail address is pbrown34@nycap.rr.com Looking forward to hearing from you.
Your cousin
Peter (C) Brown
